“O JOSEPH! WHAT WAS GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU?”

This chapter is about the life of Joseph. You will see how Joseph was taken to a strange country and how he became a part of God's plan. You will see how Joseph helped his father and brothers.

Find some good ideas in the chapter that you can use in your own life. Think of how you can use these ideas to help your family and friends. Think of the times God has helped you in the same way He helped Joseph.

A COAT

Joseph was not lonely when he was a young boy. He had ten big brothers and one little brother named Benjamin. Twelve boys in one family!

Jacob was their father. He loved God. He taught his sons to trust God. Jacob was a rich man. He owned many sheep. The sons took care of Jacob's sheep.

Of all the sons he had, Jacob loved Joseph most. When Joseph was seventeen years old, Jacob made Joseph a beautiful coat of many colors.

Joseph wore his new coat of many colors. When his brothers saw the coat, they knew that Jacob loved Joseph more than them. What do you think Joseph's big brothers might have said?

The big brothers were angry because Jacob had made Joseph the beautiful coat. They were Jealous.
